Terms of use

Effective date: October 18, 2026 (updated)

By using privatewelldata.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who operates this site

This website is operated by an individual. Contact: casey@privatewelldata.com.

Information only, not advice

The site summarises public information from government and other official sources. It is not medical, legal or engineering advice and does not replace a test of your own water by an accredited or certified laboratory or advice from your public health authority.

Accuracy of the data

Every record links to the official source it came from and the date we retrieved it. Sources change and can contain errors, so information on this site may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm details such as accreditation, tests offered and prices directly with the laboratory or agency before relying on them. Tell us about any error at casey@privatewelldata.com.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is free and may be supported by advertising and affiliate links. Advertisers and partners do not choose or change the official data we show. We do not sell water-treatment equipment.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site in a way that harms it or other users, such as automated scraping at a volume that degrades service, attempts to break security, or submitting unlawful content.

Intellectual property and open data

Official data remains subject to the licence of its source, which is shown with each record (for example CC-BY 4.0 for Données Québec and GeoNames). Our own text and design may not be copied without permission, except for short quotations with a link.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from the use of the site or of its information. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot be excluded.

Language

These terms and the privacy policy are available in French and English, and both versions have equal value.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with its effective date. Questions: casey@privatewelldata.com.
